Robina - Day Four

My wife finished the first coat on the second bedroom while I was at work. When I got home, her step-dad and I cut a piece off a pocket door so as to make it fit in properly so it would slide right. I also changed about 15 light switches and outlets from beige to white. Used some plaster to fix some cracks in the ceiling after digging out the old, and shoddy, plaster job that the old man must have done. In any case, it will probably end up being better now. We're getting there, slowly but surely.

I am sure I am forgetting something, but I don't know exactly what it is. I'm sure I'll think of it later and edit the post accordingly.

Congrats on the house again Wez, hopefully you don't go into serious debt with all the repair work as is the common theme I'm hearing these days. Try going to Ikea for cheap, big rugs or any Wally World, Goodwill or Salvation Army. All depends if you want "nice" or "don't care."

When we get situated, I wanna have you and your wife over for grilling and beers (and perhaps some NCAA 2007 since it will be out soon)..

It seems like I'm reading pages from my life from about a year ago. Sounds like a lotta work, yet Im sure it most likely feels very rewarding as it is your house to do with as you please. Pics please when you get around to it.

We bought an area rug at lowes for well under a hundred bucks. And I so hear you on those fucking staples...

I am glad that when I pulled carpet it was only stuck with some glue and tack strips. Also did you make sure that all the jacks are grounded etc? Go spend the $3 on a voltage tester to make sure shit is wired correctly.

Actually, yeah. I had access to a voltage tester because the wife's step-dad deals with all the shit. He actually did a bunch of electrical work.
